SARC/VA Roles

This 25 minute Army SHARP training video focuses on the role of Victim Advocate, (VA) and it’s primary target audience is SHARP professionals. It is currently being used at the Army SHARP Academy in the Foundation and Career Courses. Students experience a day in the life of a SHARP VA via a scenario where a VA responds to sexual assault of an Army Soldier. The objective of the video is to teach new SARC and VA’s about their role and best practices in the SHARP program, as well as to give them a peek into what it is like and what it takes to do the job. The scenario story is fictitious and is supported with interviews of actual experienced Army SARC and VA’s who share their thoughts and experiences on being a Victim Advocate, to round out the visual training experience.

Ethics

Ethics is a short companion series of videos to be used with the SARC & VA annual ethics training required to keep their NOVA credentials current. The scenarios are in comic book graphic styles and provide SHARP professionals with SAPR scenarios brought to life in situational presentations about SHARP ethics as reminders of SHARP best practices.
